For Luka Dončić, a Slovenian NBA superstar, we aimed to design and craft something entirely unique—packaging that reflected the exclusivity and artistry of the project. Commissioned by JH Boards, the package was created as a one-of-a-kind piece. The design featured three custom-made skateboard decks, meticulously stacked on top of one another. Beneath the boards, all the necessary mounting equipment was carefully arranged, including a detailed booklet outlining the production process, securely nestled in custom-cut foam to ensure a flawless presentation.
To further enhance ease and precision during the setup, we incorporated a custom water scale, securely mounted on a template that featured exact measurements for drilling. This, combined with a step-by-step guide included in the booklet, ensured that Luka could easily and accurately mount the boards, creating a seamless, enjoyable unboxing and assembly experience.
This package included:
- A robust, leather-enforced outer box, providing both style and protection.
- Three custom skateboard decks, handcrafted by JH Boards, each carved from granite, turning them into striking works of art. Designed as wall art rather than functional boards, these decks serve as a bold visual statement.
- A specialized hanging mechanism for each board, ensuring secure and aesthetically pleasing display options.
- Tools and precise measurements for hanging, allowing for easy and accurate installation.
- A hardcover booklet detailing the entire production process, showcasing the craftsmanship behind each element of the package.
- Clear instructions for placement, accompanied by a personalized note to add a touch of intimacy and connection.
- A high-quality photograph of the entire collection, printed on thick, durable paper, serving as both a keepsake and a guide for display.
